2 New Apprentices Join The Team

Website Editor • Jul 30, 2021

Xtraweld are pleased to welcome our 2 new eager apprentices, Harley and Lucca. Harley and Lucca are following in both their Father's footsteps starting their career within the metal industry and they joined us in July 2021. Already, they have made such a huge impact, gaining many qualifications and important life-long skills.

First Week:

After a tough get up, adjusting their alarm clocks to 6:00am instead of 8:00am, Harley and Lucca spent their first week familarising within the workshop an offices completing their inductions and training. They spent time with our sheetmetal specialist Craig and workshop manager Ash, who trained them up on various machines within the workshops.

Where are they now?

Both boys are now CSCS trained and have many other qualifications under their belt such as first aid, fire marshal and manual handling. They are with their mentor Nico who keeps a close eye on the boys during their time on site for their safety whilst also allowing the boys to learn the different 'tricks of the trade.'

We are very proud of both boys and how far they have come since July and are hoping that they blossom into hard working men who will eventually lead site teams of their own.

AEDDonate Defibrillator
26 Mar, 2021
AEDDonate are an amazing local charity which supply external AED to local hotspots such as schools, pubs and outdoor areas to help with risk of sudden cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, not long after the installation of their unit on the High Street, it was vandalised and had to be removed from service. Our Project Manager Kevin Davies was contacted by Richard at AEDDonate to see if there was anything we could do in order to get this vital piece of equipment running again. Xtraweld were able to create a new casing for the Defibrillator and reinstall it back on the High Street .
